British Gas Business (BGB) is UK owned and run, and has a range of different business electricity and gas tariffs to suit businesses of any size. British Gas Business is part of Centrica plc and along with its better known domestic arm, British Gas, is the largest supplier in the UK and has owned businesses as diverse as the One-Tel, the AA and Dyno-Rod as well as current charge PH Jones, the social housing specialist.

Contract Natural Gas (CNG) is UK owned and run independent gas supplier. CNG was established in 1994, at the opening of the competitive energy market, and has developed into a major player in the SME gas market.

Corona Energy is owned by the Australian Macquarie Group positions itself as the “leading commercial energy supplier to British based businesses” specialising in public sector contracts. The management of such complex contracts has stood them in good stead as they’ve built their private sector portfolio.

Crown Gas & Power are UK owned, and are the energy division of the Crown Oil Group. They offer a range of different business gas tariffs to suit businesses of most sizes.

ENGIE

GDF Suez/Engie is one of the world’s leading energy companies across the electricity and gas sectors. They have recently rebranded to Engie. French owned and run Engie, a merger of Gaz de France and Suez has a range of different business electricity and gas tariffs to suit businesses of any size. Engie UK has been operating since 1999 and is the 7th largest dedicated business supplier in the UK.

E.ON Energy is one of the UK's leading power and gas companies - generating electricity, and retailing power and gas. Their aim is be a company people can trust and are always looking at ways to make energy cleaner. They are improving their gas, coal and oil-fired power stations and are producing more energy from renewable sources like wind and water. Currently they have 21 wind farms, a dedicated biomass plant at Lockerbie and the first wave power generator in the UK.

DONG Energy Sales are a Danish owned UK energy supplier. The name DONG stands for Danish Oil & Natural Gas. They are one of the leading energy groups in Northern Europe as well as being one of the UK’s largest business energy suppliers. The company also heavily invest in renewable energy generation infrastructure. DONG Energy is market leader for off-shore wind in the UK and has built more off-shore wind farms than any company in the world to date. The company’s vision is to lead the energy transformation by supplying reliable energy that is green, independent and cost-effective. DONG Energy offers a range of gas and power solutions, (including renewable power) to UK businesses.

Dual Energy is UK owned and supplies electricity to SME businesses. Founded in 2009, this new entrant supplier offers a unique, price matching 3-year product that ensures their customers always have access to competitive market pricing and freedom of movement if the offer isn’t right for them.

Gazprom Energy is a Russian owned gas and electricity supplier. It has a range of different business electricity and gas tariffs to suit businesses of any size.

Haven Power is UK owned, supplies electricity to small, medium and large businesses, and is part of Drax Power, the UK’s largest independent power generator, having been acquired in 2009. Drax Power is the owner and operator of the largest, cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power station in the UK, producing around 7% of the UK’s electricity needs. Drax Power are in the process of turning their coal fired power station into the UK’s largest biomass generation plant, using wood pellets to generate their energy production.

Npower is German owned and has a range of different business electricity and gas tariffs to suit businesses of any size.

Opus Energy is UK based and has a range of different business electricity tariffs to suit businesses of any size. Formed in 2002 Opus have grown into one of the leading energy supplier in the business sector. GDF Suez/Engie are a major shareholder in the business.

Total Gas & Power is France/Belgium owned and has been operating in the market since 1987, initially as Agas and later as Elf Business Energy. Since 2001 it has been known as Total Gas & Power and offers a range of different business gas and electricity tariffs to suit businesses of any size, with a particular focus on long term fixed price contracts.

Yorkshire Gas & Power (YGP) was formed in 2009 by Rishi Raichura to deliver “a refreshingly different view on how business energy customers should be treated by energy suppliers”. YGP are a business only supplier and offer both gas and electricity deals to suit businesses of all sizes.

Yu Energy is a new entrant. The Nottingham based supplier has been in existence since 2009; rebranding in 2013 they were formerly known as Better Business Energy.
